Zentai on TV
Posted on September 4th, 2010 at 4:03 AM by admin

This thread is along similar lines as the “Music Videos With Zentai” thread, except its purpose is to act as a one-stop-shop to find TV shows featuring spandex costumes.15 years ago, nobody except for Japanese people and a few fans knew what a zentai even was, and you never saw people wearing them for fun outside.IMO one of the greatest influences in bringing zentai into the public view, and making them acceptable for public wear has been popular media like TV shows. The Green Man character from its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, for example, has spawned a craze for wearing green zentai suit at Halloween, at sports events, and festivals. I thought it would be good to start a thread for people to post up links to TV shows (just TV shows please, we already have a music video thread, and I’ll start another thread for movies). This is because I forget ‘em, and find myself thinking questions like: “What was the name of that show?” and I just can’t track ‘em down to watch them again. If we have list here all in 1 place, then it’ll be a great place to find those videos you just can’t quite place, and well as browse for new ones. Remember- just TV shows in this thread.

Are we going to see Green Man next season?
Oh, that’s a good question. We’re going to be seeing a lot of Green Man in the future.
We actually just had to buy the rights … the character of Green Man, which is surreal, is a real person. It’s a buddy of mine that I went to high school with — who is a doctor. And he is in his first year of residency. He is a full on, doctor!!! And we went to an Eagles game. And at the end of the game, they beat the out of the Cowboys, it was a Monday night game, two years ago, and at the end of the game, afterwards we go back to the parking lot to continue the festivities, and he starts taking off his clothes and getting into this green lycra suit and walking around and taking pictures with everybody, calling himself the Green Man. I instantly wrote … I wrote it down on a piece of paper and when I flew back to LA, we put it in show and it’s become a little bit of a cultural phenomenon. I mean I can’t watch a sporting event now without seeing some idiot <smiles at student> in a green suit. … I’m just kidding. I appreciate it, I really do.
